The Independent Schools Council of Australia (ISCA), formerly known as the National Council of Independent Schools' Associations (NCISA) until 1 July 2003, represents the interests of the independent school sector on a national basis such as in relation to Commonwealth funding and representation on national policy making bodies. Its eight member State and Territory Associations of Independent Schools represent a growing sector with 982 schools and 417,289 full-time equivalent (fte) students, 12 percent of all school enrolments in Australia.

Membership is available for Australian schools who subscribe to the Charter and Statement of Faith. These schools signal that they desire to help advance Christian education, take part in the personal and professional fellowship offered by CSA, assist and be assisted by other schools, and benefit from CSA's member services.

The Association of Independent Schools of Victoria Inc (AISV) was established in 1949 to represent and promote the interests of Victorian independent schools. Includes school search facility.

The Association of Independent Schools of Queensland Inc. (AISQ) was established by independent schools in 1968 as a non-profit organisation to represent and promote the interests of independent schools in Queensland

The South Australian Independent Schools Board (ISB) was formed in 1974 (now AISSA) to represent and promote the diverse interests of non-government independent schools. There are 89 member schools with a total enrolment of approximately 35,000 students
